Ready to get this over with!

@ 03:55 PM (20 months, 17 days ago)

I have returned to my familiar place in Macomb, IL.Ready to tackle the ins and outs of finishing the semester at school. I'm already looking forward to what I'll be doing this summer...lots of fishing and Blues in The District. I can't wait to just relax!

This week, I have to look over some of the writing I have done for Creative Nonfiction and look at what I can to do imporove and get something ready for a portfolio of writing to be critiqued by my class. These are some of the last few times I will be able to have an audience for my writing, and next semester will be the last time I will be in an atmosphere where great literature is discussed openly and fervently. I know I will miss that, as I have gained a deep appreciation for the written word. I don't know where I'll be getting my literary fix. I need to start compiling a reading list for when I go home.

I didn't get any thing done over Spring Break, like I had hoped, but it was sure nice to get away and wind down. Four days of visiting with people. I refused to do the mad rush to all of my friends. There will be ample time for that this summer, when I'll be able to just slowly mosey along! Looking forward to time on the riverfront watching the water go by, hoping to catch something for supper! MMMMM

Happy St. Pat's and welcome Spring!
