Earthquake in Illinois

I woke up at about four something and felt my bedshaking. I thought it was my cat scratching himself or bathing, but it lstedquitesome time,and my cat wasn't in the room. I decided that was sort of strange, my heart wasdefinitely beating pretty good, so I got dresssed and went to the store for a cup of coffee, and that's when I saw on our local news that a 5.4 Earthquake hit this morning, centered around New Salem, IL. It is repoerted to have been felt all the way up by chicago and into Indiana, Ohio and Iowa. What a strange thing to encounter firstthing in the morning. This was my first experience with an earthquake. It will be interesting to see the reports as they come in fromm the epicenter.

I had a similar experience, but it was due to too many pinto beans....rofl....glad to hear nothing bad happened......Once when I was in the NAVY, our ship was pulling into Long Beach Naval Shipyard, about a mile out, the bay went kinda choppy, weird looking, and a strange vibratory noise resonated in the superstructure of our ship, it only lasted a few seconds though....as we pulled into the peir, the command was just allowing people to go back to their work spaces in the buildings.....riff

  2. Stuff like that'll mess up your head when you are not expecting it. It sure did me forr a bit, now there are stories all overthe region about it, so I immediatley felt better. I'm not wierd. At least about that,I'm wierd about other things. Gladly so.
