felt like sharing with the world
I just wanted to say hello to my faithful readers. I only know one of you, riff, but there are possibly other people who just lork nearby, and that is fine too, as Itend to do that. I need to find a coffee group for when I go back to Quincy, IL so I'm thinking of asking friends here how they went about it. I worked in a restaurant setting, so I'm going to be acquainted with the people I have served in some capacity, but I wnat to meet people like the friends I have made here in Macomb. I want to meet people in Quincy who are strange folk interested in The Civil war, like my friends, the Bath's. I want to know some folk who build there own.....you fill in the blank....people that are interested in things that maybe I don't have the timeor inclination to be interested in. I absolutely love just sitting nearby and listeningto these friends of mine talk out problems and solutions to things. Once this guy, who is 90 years old, btw sat and drew out plans for a water treatment facility that could run on like75 volts, something so small. It was very interesting. This guy was an engineer with the physical plant at WIU and he did things for other factories in the area. He spent something like six hours recording tape about people and things he remembers about the Macomb, I area form the twenties!!! This guy is a walking genius at 90 years old! I love the guy. If I were 90, I'd be hookin up!!! So if anyone has any ideas on ow to find people like this in Quincy, and Iknow they exist, send me a comment. I'd really appreciate it. Thanks, and hope you all were ok today.
