Finals week!!!

@ 05:32 PM (10 months, 27 days ago)

I'm so very happy to be in the final week of school and getting my exams out of the way. Crossing my fingers about math. We'll just have to see. The other two classes are in the bag, so no stress there. I'm sitting here reading reports of single digit lows tonight and I'm thankful for the heat in my home. I'm thankful for the electricity, since the people that live in the plains have it rough. The air gets much colder and they are on plains, which means that there aren't nearly as many trees to block the wind. It has free course out there. The snows get pretty bad as well. People are sitting in their homes without power, but my lights are on and my heater's running, my water runs too. I have to thank God for those things. I turned my washing machine on and it washed my clothes. I have food in my freezer, my regrigerator, and my pantry! God is a good God. I got a little note from my brother. I hadn't had yahoo messenger downloaded, so I got them late, but they were there waiting on me.

So our governor here in Illinois is a worthless piece of crap!!!

@ 10:36 AM (11 months, 1 day ago)
I cannot believe we have had two governors who have misled the people of the State of Illinois back to back! I'm appalled. Who is there left to vote for now...maybe we'll vote green next time. I certainly will! This is absolutely insane. I do applaud President Elect Obama for calling for the man's resignation. I think that would be the only honorable way to proceed so that this crappy governor cannot name the successor to the senate seat that Obama vacated to take the Presidency. I''m hoping that this will send waves of outrage throughout the country and people will begin to hold their elected officials more accountable for thwir actions. I certainly do not want to see George Ryan let out of jail! If this were any poor person in the nation, he'd be in there for his entire sentence. Ryan is NOT ABOVE THE LAW!!!!! NEITHER IS THIS JOKER BLAGGO!!!

Not much

@ 04:31 PM (11 months, 3 days ago)
There's just not a lot to say today...temps were in the forties, with some rain. That was nice, it's not so bone chilling cold outside, long as you dress appropriately. I'm still plugging away at school. I really don't want to go to Math class tomorrow, but I don't feel like it would be right to skip in the last week, just in case he's a real bad man and decides to add more weight to these days' attendance. We'll see!

HI MOM!!! *pretend you see a waving smiley here!*

@ 12:08 AM (11 months, 5 days ago)

I talked to my mom on the phone last night. She had mentioned why she didn't take my brother's address, and really wanted to express to me why. It was wierd, until she told me she reads my blog. I was surprised, then thought, hey silly! BLOG MORE!! I'm trying to get ready to graduate, didn'tmake the plans to walk, so it looks like I won't be walking, which is fine. Too cold to be getting ouut for that anyway. I'm going to try to head back home for a bit of relaxation and Christmasesque activities before heading back into Full time work. I wrote a note to my boss letting them know I'd be out of school in december, and that I was looking for full time work, something with benefits, and since we needed someone stocking shelves, that I'd be willing to do it. The other donut fryer is not making the donuts the way we would like, and we really don't think he likes it anyhow. HE is going to stock shelves at night and I will be making donuts full time. I told them I could commit to a couple years and after that I'm not sure.
